I Love Rewards’ daily, nine minute, all-staff meeting featured in the Globe and Mail’s weekly “Weekend Workout” section.

What the Globe and Mail said about I Love Rewards’ meeting strategy:

Strategy: “To the point” meeting – a daily, nine-minute gathering of the company’s 50 employees.

How it works: Every morning at 11:15, employees gather together for a standing, rapid-fire information exchange that includes news of the day, a department spotlight, red flags, key stats and staff priorities, with each staff member relating his or most important task for the day.

Goal: To efficiently increase communication, connect staff and give everyone in the company a voice.

Payoff: “We’ve eliminated half the e-mails and half the meetings we used to have. People are much more productive,” says CEO Razor Suleman.

I Love Rewards was featured in The Wall Street Journal small business section for using innovative and creative new methods to attract potential candidates.

What The Wall Street Journal said about I Love Rewards:

Over a few hours, Mr. Suleman and 31 of his employees arranged the two-story office so that the first floor was designated as an area where employees could mingle with the candidates. The second floor became a so-called speed-dating area, where the prospects had one-on-one contact with the employees for a few minutes.

“It was perfectly systematic because everyone had a time slot,” says Mr. Suleman. “And in five minutes, we’d ask a few questions and see if they were right for the role. It was different but so efficient because you could remove people who aren’t wildly enthusiastic.”

The Globe and Mail recognizes I Love Rewards' new method of recruitment through social media. While still using traditional forms of recruitment, I Love Rewards explores innovative ways of expanding job postings through employee networks.

The Globe and Mail recognizes I Love Rewards‘ new method of recruitment through social media. While still using traditional forms of recruitment, I Love Rewards explores innovative ways of expanding job postings through employee networks.

What the Globe and Mail had to say about I Love Rewards:

Yet in a soft job market, he and a growing number of employers are favouring an option they say is faster, more efficient and a whole lot cheaper: social media sites such as Twitter and LinkedIn. The shift marks a sea change for the world of recruiting as the use of employee and customer networks to find candidates becomes the new normal.

“The world has changed – it will never go back,” said Mr. Suleman, who runs I Love Rewards Inc., which advises companies on employee incentive and recognition programs.
